Welcome to the Kaesenova.

What is a Kaesenova? Käse is the German word for cheese, so Käsenova (or Kaesenova without the umlaut) is a Cheese Lover. And that is me.

After spending 15 years selling British Cheese in Switzerland, I spent a wonderful year at Paxton & Whitfield, the oldest cheese shop in the UK and then in the world famous Borough Market at Blackwoods Cheese Company.

But I also work with beer. In Zürich I founded the city's first Craft Beer Bar "The International" and in London I regularly hosted pairings at breweries and pubs.

I'm now based in the Netherlands and I host unique cheese shopping walks and tasting events at breweries and wine shops. I'm also available for private catering and corporate talks and tastings.

My work in progress is a book about British Cheese and also about my time selling it to the Swiss, to locals and tourists in London and now to the Dutch in the Netherlands. "Confessions of a Kaesenova", it's a rather cheesy title for a long and entertaining cheesy tale!

Download my new Booklet

My new booklet, "An Easy Guide to enjoying the Perfect Cheese Experience" costs only €2.00 and is packed full of tips to help you find, choose, store, travel with and enjoy "Special Cheeses".

Talks and Workshops

As well as hosting regular Cheese Shopping Walks in Amsterdam and other Dutch cities I am also available for private bookings for workshops, talks, tastings and catering for private customers, clubs and corporate groups.

I can come to your home, office or restuarant with cheese and matching drinks and entertain your guests or colleagues  with stories about the cheeses and who makes them.

In the past I have hosted similar events from 10 - 300 people. Please email me to discuss your requirements.
